DID HE SAY 'CIRCUMSPECTLY'?

Last week, Bro. Glen read part of Ephesians chapter 5 to us and he was reading from the New King James Version so verse 15 contained the word 'circumspectly'...

Ephesians 5:15-16 (KJV) See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

'Circumspectly'.  Not a word that we use every day, is it?  What does it mean and why should we 'walk' that way?  Look at the same verse in the Amplified Version...

Ephesians 5:15-16 (AMP) Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people), Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil.

Now it is easier to see what it means... we are to live in a careful, purposeful and precise way making the best use of our time.  How carefully have you been using your time lately?  How wisely have you been using your time this past week?

Live with purpose.  Be intentional with your life instead of just responding to whatever happens next.  Enjoy the blessings that God has given you instead of letting them pass you by.  Walk 'circumspectly'.
