“Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?”

Isaiah 6:8 (ESV) 8  And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” 

Please pray for us as we put our team together for this year's mission trip to the Philippines. We will be working in two areas that we have never been to yet and these two areas suffered a lot of damage because of the typhoons last year. Not only are we going to two places that we have never been before, but we are doing something new this year... we will always be adding medical assistance as well.

Also pray for Pastor Joe Fernandez (shown above on the right) and his wife, Juliet, as they travel to the island of Leyte to prepare for our conferences and revivals to be held later this year. Pastor Joe and his family take such good care of us when we are in the Philippines.

I am very thankful to those who have been so supportive to us as we begin this process of gathering the team and planning the trip. I especially want to thank Greg Cochran for mentoring me the last three trips as well as those who are showing such support now. I look forward to seeing who God is putting together for this team. Is God calling out to you? Pray for us.

"PAY ATTENTION!"

IT IS TIME TO STOP THINKING "MY WILL BE DONE" AND START THINKING "THY WILL BE DONE!".

1. ARE YOU TRULY FOCUSED ON JESUS CHRIST? Hebrews 2:1-4 (ESV) 1 Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard,

 Bible Knowledge Commentary The writer’s audience was marked by immaturity and spiritual sluggishness (cf. 5:11-12), and if this trait were not eliminated there was danger of their slipping away from what they had heard.

“WHY ARE SO MANY OF OUR CHURCH FAMILY MEMBERS MISSING FROM OUR CHURCHES TODAY?”

1. SOME HAVE LEFT BECAUSE THEY ARE DISTRACTED BY WORLDLY PLEASURES. 

2. SOME HAVE LEFT BECAUSE THEY ARE LIVING IN SIN. 

3. SOME HAVE LEFT BECAUSE THEY GOT MAD AT SOMEONE AND QUIT. 

4. SOME HAVE LEFT BECAUSE THEY ARE UNEQUALLY YOKED IN THEIR MARRIAGES AND THEIR SPOUSES HAVE PULLED THEM AWAY. 

5.  SOME HAVE LEFT BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT COMMITTED TO JESUS LIKE THEY SAY THEY ARE.

2. ARE YOU DRIFTING AWAY FROM JESUS CHRIST? lest we drift away from it.

William Barclay has an excellent comment on this verse. "For most of us the threat of life is not so much that we should plunge into disaster, but that we should drift into sin. There are few people who deliberately and in a moment turn their backs on God; there are many who day by day drift farther and farther away from Him. There are not many who in one moment of time commit some disastrous sin; there are many who, bit by bit and almost imperceptibly, involve themselves in some situation, and suddenly awake to find that they have ruined life for themselves and broken someone else's heart. We would do well to be continually on the alert against the peril of the drifting life" (The Letter to the Hebrews, p.13f).

3. DO YOU REALIZE HOW SERIOUS GOD IS ABOUT SIN? 2 For since the message declared by angels proved to be reliable, and every transgression or disobedience received a just retribution,

4. IF YOU ARE IGNORING JESUS CHRIST, HOW WILL YOU ESCAPE YOUR PUNISHMENT? 3 how shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation?

SO HERE IS THE QUESTION…

ARE WE GOING TO REPENT OF OUR SINS AND GET FOCUSED ON JESUS OR ARE WE GOING TO SIT BACK AND WATCH OUR CHURCH CONTINUE TO GET WEAKER?

IT TAKES EVERY ONE OF US. NOT JUST SOME OF US. NOT JUST SOME OF THE TIME.

DO YOU REALLY LOVE JESUS? ARE YOU JUST SAYING THAT?

WHAT IS BIBLICAL MARRIAGE?
